Mena Alexandra Suvari (born on 13 February 1979) is a famous American model and actress. She is also a fashion designer model. After 1990, just following her debut as a model, she began to act in television programs such as Boy Meets World. In 1997 she debuted as a film actress in Nowhere. Through her roles in American Beauty - for which the actress was nominated to get an award called a BAFTA Award - and American Pie, which garnered much attention as she stepped into more prominent roles. Since then she appeared in Loser (2000) alongside the American Pie co-star Jason Biggs and then played the principal character in the comedy film Sugar & Spice (2001). Spun was a 2002 independent drama film and Trauma, a (2004) thrillers both featured in her career. The other films she appeared in include HBO's drama Six Feet Under. In 2008, she was featured in several films like Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh and the adaptation film to The Garden of Eden. Suvari has been a defender and advocate for the African Medical and Research Foundation an eminent organisation that helps provide aid to Africans. The organization is also active in the issue of women's empowerment and collaborates with various organizations to help raise awareness about breast cancer as well as an End Violence Against Women Campaign.
